Pressing and Ironing
Pressing and ironing can seem like such a tedious waste of time. That is, till you realize how important it is to do for your creations to look professional, or at least handmade in a good way.
Technically, there is a difference between pressing and ironing. But it feels like splitting hairs.
I like to think of ironing as taking wrinkles or creases out, and pressing as adding creases. However, sometimes, you might press something to shape it, but often you’re doing that around a seam, which will add a crease.
All that being said, there are lots of tools specifically designed to help with pressing and ironing. And even some techniques that could help reduce the frustration.
